Flying Food takes next step in protein transition with crickets in Africa

8 years ago the Flying Food consortium introduced crickets for human food in Kenya and Uganda. At the moment still 100 farms are rearing crickets and the market demand for cricket powder is now outpacing supply. Powder is used to fortify bread, porridge and cookies. Time to scale up; we aim for starting up large farms in these countries and in 3 new African countries.
